Finance Ministry Official arrested for Alleged Upskirting in Tokyo
Tokyo, Dec. 16 (NewsDirectory3) - A 44-year-old official from Japan’s Finance Ministry has been arrested by Tokyo Police for allegedly engaging in upskirting at a train station in Tokyo. Yasutaka yoneta,who also holds a temporary associate professor position at Tokyo Metropolitan University,denies the allegation,according to police sources.
Yoneta is suspected of approaching a woman in her 20s from behind on an escalator at Minamiosawa Station in Hachioji around 10 a.m. on October 23rd. Police allege he slipped a smartphone under her skirt and filmed her underwear.

The incriminating photo was discovered when police officers examined Yoneta’s smartphone during a separate investigation in Tokyo’s Suginami Ward in late October.
Yoneta, a graduate of Tokyo Metropolitan University, joined the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau in 2005. He assumed his current position at the university in April of this year.
This incident has sparked outrage and concern among the public, raising questions about the safety of women in public spaces and the accountability of individuals in positions of authority.

Yoneta, who also holds a temporary associate professor position at Tokyo Metropolitan University, vehemently denies these allegations.
Police allege that on October 23rd around 10 am, Yoneta targeted a woman in her 20s at Minamiosawa Station in Hachioji. He is suspected of positioning himself behind the woman on an escalator adn using his smartphone to film under her skirt.
The incriminating evidence surfaced when police officers, conducting a separate examination in Tokyo’s Suginami Ward in late October, examined Yoneta’s smartphone.
