While Sean Gunn has famously stood in for Rocket Raccoon, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who plays ⁣the Thing, had a different kind of co-star: a rock.

The rock, affectionately named “Jennifer,” played a crucial role. Director Matt shakman explained that⁣ they searched the desert⁣ for a rock resembling their vision of the Thing. “We filmed it in every single shot that the Thing appears in in ⁤the movie, under every lighting surroundings,” Shakman said.
