Portugal’s Ascent and key Player
Portugal’s best World championship result remains their eighth-place finish in 2002. They began the 2025 edition with a 3-1 upset of Cuba and secured a second win by overcoming a two-set deficit against Colombia, finishing as Pool D runners-up.
