Flappy Bird Returns: The Legendary Mobile Game is Back

In 2013, the simple yet addictive gameplay of Flappy Bird sparked a global frenzy, challenging players to beat the level. However, the game’s massive success put immense pressure on its developer, Dong Nguyen, who eventually decided to remove the game from the market.

The gameplay of Flappy Bird is straightforward: players control the bird, navigating it through green water pipes while avoiding obstacles. Each pipe cleared earns the player a point. As the game progresses, the bird’s speed increases, making it increasingly difficult to achieve high scores.

After its release in 2013, Flappy Bird became a massive hit. However, the game’s intense difficulty sparked a backlash from parents. Dong Nguyen, the game’s independent developer, eventually removed the game from the market. Although Flappy-style games emerged, the original Flappy Bird was never re-released.

According to a report by IGN, the current version of Flappy Bird was acquired by Gametech, LLC, from the Flappy Bird Foundation Group. The game will not only be re-launched but will also feature new content, including new game modes, characters, and massive multiplayer competitions.

With a new look and exciting features, Flappy Bird is expected to officially launch in 2024, reuniting players with the legendary mobile game.
