September 25, 2024 - The Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast for the next 24 hours, warning of heavy rains in 43 provinces across Thailand.
The southwest monsoon covers the Andaman Sea, the southern region, and the Gulf of Thailand, while a line of southwest winds and easterlies in the Gulf of Thailand and the Lower South Region and Eastern Region causes heavy rains in some places in the northern region, Northeast Bangkok, and surrounding areas, eastern and southern regions.
People in the Thailand area are asked to be alert to the dangers of heavy rain and accumulated rain, which may cause flash floods and flash floods, especially in mountain slope areas near watercourses and low-lying areas.
For wind waves in the Andaman Sea, the southern region, and the Gulf of Thailand are weak, causing waves of about 1 meter in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. In areas with thunderstorms, boaters in those areas are advised to sail with caution and avoid sailing in areas where thunderstorms are also present.

The North – There will be thunderstorms in 60% of the area and heavy rain in some places. In the provinces of Phrae, Nan, Kamphaeng Phet, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, Phichit, and Phetchabun, minimum temperature 22-24 degrees Celsius, maximum temperature 30-32 degrees Celsius. Southwest winds 5-15 km/h.
Northeast – There will be thunderstorms in 60% of the area and heavy rain in some places. Loei, Chaiyaphum, Nong Bua Lamphu, Nong Khai, and Nakhon Ratchasima provinces. Minimum temperature 22-24 degrees Celsius, maximum temperature 28-33 degrees Celsius. Southwest winds 10-20 km/h.
Central Region – Thunderstorms will occur in 40% of the area, especially in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chainat, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Songkhram, and Samut Sakhon. Minimum temperature 23-25 degrees Celsius, maximum temperature 31-34 degrees Celsius. Winds from the southwest 10-20 km/h.
Eastern Region – There will be thunderstorms in 60% of the area and heavy rains in some places. In the provinces of Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat, minimum temperature 23-25 degrees Celsius, maximum temperature 31-34 degrees Celsius, southwest winds 10-30 km/h. The sea has waves about 1 meter high. In areas with thunderstorms and waves more than 2 meters high.
Southern Region (East Coast) – There will be thunderstorms in 60% of the area and heavy rains in some places. Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla, Yala, and Narathiwat province area, minimum temperature 23-25 degrees Celsius, maximum temperature 32-34 degrees Celsius, east winds 15-30 km/h. The sea has waves of about 1 meter high. In areas with thunderstorms, waves higher than 2 meters.
Southern Region (West Coast) – There will be thunderstorms in 60% of the area, especially in the provinces of Phuket, Krabi, Trang, and Satun. Minimum temperature 23-25 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperature 31-34 degrees Celsius. Winds from the southwest 10-30 km/h. The sea has waves of about 1 meter. In areas with thunderstorms, waves higher than 2 meters.
Bangkok and surrounding areas – There will be thunderstorms in 60% of the area and heavy rain in some places. Minimum temperature 25-26 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperature 32-34 degrees Celsius. Winds from the southwest 10-20 km/h.
