The Los Angeles County superior Court in ⁣Alhambra, California, sentenced ⁤Klinghoffer to one year of informal probation and 60 days of community labor. Judge Rosa Fregoso also ordered him⁢ to complete a ⁢driver safety course and pay restitution, the amount to be determined later.

Prosecutors⁣ brought charges against Klinghoffer in August ⁤following the March 18, 2024, incident. Klinghoffer, 45, driving a ⁣2022 GMC Yukon, struck Israel sanchez, 47, in a crosswalk. Sanchez died later ‍at⁢ a hospital from blunt force trauma.
