Floorball Köniz Bern Announces Coaching Staff for Upcoming Season

KÖNIZ, Switzerland – Floorball Köniz Bern has finalized its coaching staff as preparations begin for the upcoming season.

As previously announced, René Berliat returns as head coach.This marks Berliat’s fourth stint with the club, where he is considered an iconic figure.
Joining Berliat are Emanuel antener and Simon von gunten, both former players under Berliat. Antener, whose number 68 is retired and hangs in the team’s arena, returns after retiring in 2017 following a successful career. He holds a professional trainer recognition in competitive sports (BTA).
Von Gunten, who played three seasons with Floorball Köniz approximately 20 years ago, also joins the staff. He has experience coaching the first team and youth divisions of UHC Thun. His return too Köniz comes after two decades.
Mike Jörg will continue his roles as team manager and assistant trainer.Yves Pillichody remains the individual coach, and Sven Körner will continue as the goalie trainer. Adam Begbie will also continue to oversee the players’ fitness as athletic coach.
The club will continue its partnership with Hirslanden Medical Center Wankdorf for physiotherapy, performance diagnostics, and medical care, provided by Dr. Martin Schober (also of MCW). The partnership is slated for expansion.
Daniel Hornecker (Empowering Lives) will remain responsible for the players’ mental support.
With the coaching staff finalized, summer training for the L-UPL team is scheduled to begin May 12.
