The band announced on Tuesday, August 19th, that their sixth studio album, titled Everybody Scream, will be released on october 31st. The announcement follows a series of intriguing teasers, including a cryptic video showcasing Florence Welch digging a hole in a field with a dagger, culminating in a powerful scream into the earth.

The standard LP will feature 12 new tracks, while deluxe editions – available on both CD and vinyl – will include “chamber versions” of four select songs, offering a unique listening experience.
Following *Dance Fever* and Recent Collaborations
Everybody Scream marks Florence and the Machine’s sixth studio album and their first full-length release as 2022’s critically acclaimed dance Fever. While details remain scarce,Florence Welch offered a glimpse behind the scenes in an Instagram post from early July. The photo dump revealed Welch working in the studio with Idles guitarist Mark Bowen and a whiteboard brimming with creative ideas, including affirmations like “Clarity = Power,” and focused directives like “VOCALS!!!” and “Swans vs. Adele.”
The band has remained active sence Dance Fever,releasing the single “Mermaids” in 2023. They’ve also contributed covers to popular soundtracks, including a rendition of No doubt’s “Just a Girl” for the series Yellowjackets and a poignant version of the British WWII classic “White Cliffs of Dover” for The New Look. Earlier this year, Florence and the Machine collaborated with Everything Is Recorded and Sampha on the single “Never Felt Better.”
