This new release marks Florence + ‍the Machine’s return‍ after a period​ of relative quiet. The band ⁢concluded a run of‍ performances in September 2024 with a special orchestral rendition of their 2009 debut ​album, Lungs, ‌at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Prior to⁣ that, Welch made a surprise appearance at the U.K.’s Glastonbury Festival in June, joining The Maccabees onstage for a memorable performance.
