Florida Nurse Arrested for Allegedly Stealing​ Patient’s Check and Credit Card

ST. PETERSBURG,Fla. ‌– ​A⁢ 23-year-old nurse at Orlando‍ Health Bayfront Hospital ⁤is facing ‍serious‍ charges after allegedly stealing from one of his patients. Trenton Duckworth was arrested Saturday night, accused of⁣ forging ‍a patient’s signature ⁤on a $5,000 check⁤ and racking up charges on ⁢his credit card.

According to an affidavit from the⁣ Pinellas ‌County clerk of Court, Duckworth allegedly wrote the check to himself, forging the signature of ‍Charles ⁢P. Langford, his patient‌ at the‌ time. Police say Duckworth ⁤than used Langford’s​ credit card for a variety of⁣ purchases, including gas, convenience ⁤store items, a dog walker, groceries, ​and even sports betting.The affidavit states that Duckworth​ confessed to his actions after being read ⁢his​ Miranda rights.‌ he is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital released a statement following Duckworth’s⁤ arrest, emphasizing their commitment to patient safety and their cooperation with law‌ enforcement.

“Orlando Health’s ‌number ⁣one⁤ priority is the health⁤ and safety of ​patients, team members and visitors,” the statement read.⁤ “We take allegations of misconduct seriously and have launched ⁣an internal examination. We are fully cooperating with ⁤law ⁣enforcement.”

Florida Nurse Accused of Stealing ⁤from Patient

St. Petersburg, Florida – A registered nurse in St. Petersburg is under arrest for allegedly stealing from⁢ one of his ​patients. 23-year-old Trenton Duckworth, employed at Orlando ⁣Health Bayfront ⁣Hospital, ⁢faces charges of forgery and credit card fraud.

Court documents allege that ⁤Duckworth forged the signature‍ of ​patient Charles P. Langford on​ a ‍$5,000 check, then ‍used Langford’s credit card for ⁣various purchases including gas, groceries, a⁣ dog walker, and even sports​ betting. ‌

According⁢ to the Pinellas County ⁢Clerk of Court affidavit, Duckworth ​confessed⁤ to the crimes after ⁣being ⁢read his Miranda ​rights. He‌ is scheduled for a court‌ appearance on Monday.
