Pizza Delivery Dispute Turns Violent,Pregnant Woman Stabbed in Florida Motel
Kissimmee,Fla. – A routine pizza delivery took a terrifying turn in Kissimmee, Florida, leaving a pregnant woman hospitalized after a dispute over a tip escalated into a violent home invasion.
Brianna Alvelo, the pizza delivery driver, is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, after allegedly stabbing the woman 14 times.The incident unfolded Sunday night at a local motel, where the victim, her boyfriend, and their 5-year-old daughter were staying.
The trouble began when the woman paid Alvelo $50 for a $33.10 pizza order, expecting change. According to an arrest report,Alvelo claimed the delivery service didn’t provide change and walked away. The woman, resolute to get her money back, searched for smaller bills in her purses and car. She eventually obtained a $2 bill from her boyfriend, resulting in a $2 tip for Alvelo.
“She rolled her eyes and walked away without saying anything,” the arrest report stated, detailing Alvelo’s reaction to the tip.
Later that night, the family was asleep when a knock on the door woke them. The woman opened the door to find Alvelo and an armed man, both wearing face masks, forcing their way into the room. The armed man allegedly ordered the boyfriend into the bathroom while Alvelo ransacked their belongings.
As the woman shielded her daughter, Alvelo allegedly stabbed her repeatedly with a pocket knife. The victim, who recently discovered she was pregnant, suffered a ruptured lung and underwent emergency surgery.
Alvelo is currently in custody, facing charges of attempted murder, home invasion with a firearm, kidnapping, and aggravated assault with a weapon.She has requested a court-appointed attorney, citing her inability to afford legal depiction.
