Sanford police said officers responded to a shooting at Travertine Terrace around 7 p.m. Tuesday and found a woman, later identified as Lauren, lying in the road with multiple gunshot wounds. Lauren was taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries.
Police believe an argument led Lauren to drive to Savon’s home. According to court records seen by WESH, when Savon met Lauren at her home, she was armed with a “child’s baseball bat” and a “9mm SCCY handgun.” According to WESH, the two women argued in the middle of the street for a while before a fight broke out and Lauren was eventually shot.
