The directives, delivered by the head of the ministry, underscore a proactive approach to rebuilding and solidifying Ukraine’s position on the global stage.
Securing Recovery and Development: A Call to Action
The fourth priority articulated by the ministry focuses on the vital task of attracting assistance for Ukraine’s recovery and development.Diplomats are urged to exert maximum effort in securing financial, humanitarian, and other forms of aid to enhance the nation’s resilience and mitigate the war’s devastating consequences.
“Reconstruction is not a task for tomorrow. It is indeed a process that is ongoing today,” the Foreign Minister stated, highlighting the immediate and continuous nature of this effort. A key directive for diplomats involves working closely wiht governments to provide robust guarantees for investors keen on contributing to Ukraine’s reconstruction, thereby fostering economic stability and growth.
Advancing Euro-Atlantic Integration: A Key Contributor
The fifth priority centers on promoting Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration. The ministry emphasized that Ukraine is not merely a passive applicant but a meaningful contributor and co-creator of a shared security architecture. This includes actively defending the core values that define Europe.
Strengthening Public Diplomacy and Dialog
In its sixth priority, the ministry stressed the importance of public diplomacy and communication. Recognizing that public opinion significantly influences goverment policy in democratic nations, diplomats are tasked with countering Russia’s disinformation campaigns. These campaigns, the minister noted, aim not only to discredit ukraine but also to destabilize the democratic systems of its supporting nations.
The minister further elaborated that supporting Ukraine is intrinsically linked to supporting democracy itself. He stressed that in every parliament, support for Ukraine must be a cross-party consensus, free from political struggle or division.
Protecting and Supporting Ukrainians Abroad
The seventh and final priority addresses the crucial need for the protection and support of millions of ukrainians residing abroad. The ministry called for an expansion and improvement of consular services, advocating for greater accessibility through digitalization and the implementation of the law on multiple citizenship.Concluding his remarks, the minister conveyed a powerful message: “The world must feel our pain. Though, even more so, the world must feel our strength today. Be inspired by it and believe in us. Do not tire, because we do not tire. Our allies must support us even more strongly and become stronger through cooperation with us.”
This strategic agenda reflects Ukraine’s unwavering commitment to overcoming adversity, strengthening its international partnerships, and securing a prosperous future. As previously reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has also identified promoting initiatives that protect life in Ukraine and inflict pain on Russia for its aggression as paramount tasks for Ukrainian diplomacy.
