Focus Financial Partners Inc. has announced that its Focus Partners Wealth division will acquire David Wealth Management, LLC, a Fairfax, Virginia-based RIA overseeing approximately $239 million in client assets. This marks Focus Partners Wealth’s second external acquisition since its rebranding earlier this year, following its recent acquisition of Churchill Management Corporation.
Led by founder Jim David since 2012, David Wealth Management provides comprehensive financial planning and investment management services. The deal strengthens Focus Partners Wealth’s footprint in the greater Washington, D.C. area — a strategic growth market for the firm as it continues to scale its national platform.
“M&A remains a key strategic priority as we continue to bring together exceptional firms that share our commitment to delivering greater value and service to clients and their advisors,” said Adam Birenbaum, President of Focus Financial Partners and CEO of Focus Partners Wealth.
The transaction is expected to close in Q3 2025, pending customary regulatory approvals.
Focus Partners Wealth was formed following Focus Financial’s strategic rebrand, which consolidated multiple advisory hubs under a unified brand architecture. The division integrates former brands including The Colony Group and Buckingham Strategic Wealth, with the rebrand designed to enhance scalability, cross-functional integration, and client service delivery. Recent leadership appointments — including Zinovy Iosovich as Chief Growth Officer and Mark Israel as Chief Technology Officer — support Focus’s efforts to expand capabilities and deliver operational scale across its advisor network.
