Foonan High School has released the admission lists for its 2027 Junior One intake across its Johor Bahru, Kulai, and EduCity campuses. Admitted students must complete their registration and payment between October 3 and October 10, 2026, at their respective campuses, according to a school announcement reported by China Press.
The school stated that students cannot apply to transfer to different campuses after admission. If vacancies remain after the initial deadline, the school will announce a second phase of admissions for each campus.
Registration requires a total payment of 1,810 Malaysian ringgit for Malaysian students. This sum includes a 400 ringgit entrance fund, 1,360 ringgit for the first installment of tuition and miscellaneous fees, 20 ringgit for student accident insurance, and 30 ringgit for the new student training camp.
International students face a higher initial cost of 9,130 ringgit. This total comprises a 5,000 ringgit school building fund, 4,080 ringgit for the first installment of tuition and miscellaneous fees, 20 ringgit for accident insurance, and 30 ringgit for the training camp.
Tuition Waivers and Merit Scholarships for Malaysian Citizens
Foonan High School is offering tuition rewards based on entrance exam performance for the top 5% of admitted students. These rewards are restricted to Malaysian citizens.
The top 10 students at each campus receive full tuition waivers for three years of secondary school. Students ranked 11th to 20th receive a full tuition waiver for their first year. Both groups pay only 450 ringgit during registration.
Other qualifying students in the top 5% receive a half-tuition waiver for their first year and must pay the standard 1,810 ringgit at registration.
Additional half-tuition scholarships are available for Malaysian citizens who represented their primary schools in state or national level arts or sports competitions. These applications are subject to school review.
Exam Review and Enrollment Deadlines
Candidates seeking a review of their exam papers must apply at their respective campus academic offices by 3 p.m. on October 2, 2026. The school charges an administrative fee of 5 ringgit per subject for reviews. Results of these reviews will be communicated via telephone by October 5, 2026.
Students can check their results on the school’s official websites starting at 10 a.m. on September 29, 2026.
Applications for financial aid and scholarships are open from September 29 until 12 p.m. on October 6, 2026. Applications must be submitted to the Principal’s Office secretariat, with the final list of recipients to be announced on October 8, 2026.
Campus-Specific Logistics and Attendance Rules
The school has established different schedules for purchasing uniforms and textbooks across its three locations.
- Johor Bahru Campus: Students must purchase books, sports attire, socks, and uniforms on December 17 and 18, 2026.
- Kulai Campus: Purchases are scheduled for December 14 and 16, 2026.
- EduCity Campus: Students must use the online ordering system between October 2 and October 10, 2026, and pay for books during registration.
Foonan High School maintains a strict attendance policy for new enrollments. Any student who is absent for three consecutive days starting from the first day of school in 2027 will have their enrollment automatically cancelled.
