Bujumbura, 09/2/2024 – In line with Burundi’s foreign policy, the President and First Lady have embarked on a diplomatic journey to Beijing, China, to participate in the Forum on Sino-African Cooperation (FOCAC), scheduled to take place from September 4 to 6, 2024.

As the world transitions towards a new multipolar order, China has emerged as a key player, particularly as a member of BRICS+. The new Silk Roads, connecting China to Africa, present promising economic prospects for the African continent.
