National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man Concludes Official Visit to Russian Federation
On September 11, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the high-ranking delegation of the National Assembly of Vietnam successfully concluded their official visit to the Russian Federation. The visit aimed to strengthen political trust, promote, and deepen the special friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
Russian Federation Attaches Special Importance to the Visit
During the visit, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the high-ranking delegation of Vietnam had 30 bilateral meetings with Russian counterparts, discussing various aspects of the relationship between the two countries, including politics, diplomacy, economics, trade, investment, oil and gas, energy, science, technology, education, labor, and defense and security.
At the Kremlin, Moscow, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. President Putin highly appreciated the significance and results of the visit, affirming his support for the legislative bodies of the two countries in implementing signed cooperation agreements.
Strengthening Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Ivanovna Matvienko signed a new Cooperation Agreement between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
The 3rd session of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee of the National Assembly of Vietnam – State Duma of the Federal Assembly, Russian Federation, was successfully held, with the two sides discussing specific measures to strengthen and consolidate cooperation between the two countries in the new situation.
Deepening Economic and Trade Cooperation
According to Vietnamese Ambassador to the Russian Federation Dang Minh Khoi, the visit discussed specific measures to strengthen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of energy, oil and gas, import and export.
The official visit to the Russian Federation by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation is of great significance in the current context, contributing to strengthening political trust, promoting and deepening the special friendly and cooperative relationship, as well as the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
Cooperation Agreement between Localities
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Ivanovna Matvienko witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between Ba Ria – Vung Tau province and a locality of the Russian Federation.
Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong said that the signing of the cooperation agreement contributes significantly to promoting cooperation between Russian localities and cooperation between Vietnamese localities.
Supporting Enterprises
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized the importance of supporting enterprises in the context of the current rapidly changing and complicated situation in the world and the region. He encouraged enterprises to take advantage of opportunities and cooperate practically and effectively, bringing benefits to both enterprises and tightening the cooperative relationship between the two countries.
