This time, Forza Horizon moves the action to Japan – a country famous for both its rich motoring culture and its incredibly diverse landscapes. Developers announce that this will be the largest map in the history of the series, combining modern metropolises with customary villages, winding mountain passes and spectacular routes. One thing is certain – you don’t have to worry about effective roads and spectacular views.
The biggest impression, however, is made by Tokyo. It is the largest urban area that has ever appeared in Forza Horizon. The city is to be five times larger than previous urban locations and has been divided into unique districts, with its own climate and character.
Forza Horizon 6 Emphasizes Community and night Racing
Playground Games announced Forza Horizon 6 will heavily feature community-driven events and a robust night racing scene, aiming to expand upon the open-world racing experience established in previous titles. The game is slated for release on October 15, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
Community Focus
Forza Horizon 6 introduces “Open Meets,” allowing players to gather in designated locations to showcase vehicles and participate in impromptu races. These events are designed to foster a sense of community and player interaction. Players can also create and share custom event blueprints with others.
Night Racing Expansion
The game considerably expands upon nighttime gameplay. All existing race tracks and open-world areas are fully illuminated, and new events specifically designed for nighttime racing have been added. According to a press release from Xbox game Studios on January 23, 2026, nighttime races will feature unique visual effects and challenges, including dynamic weather and altered track conditions.
