Farewell Ceremony of ‘Yatu’ in Pingtung’s Xiaotu

Lin Honghui, deputy director of the Pingtung County Police Department, said in a joint interview with the media that 271 police officers have been deployed to 6 branches, 3 divisions, 5 checkpoints, and 2 evidence collection centers, and a total of 1,348 police officers have been dispatched. The participants were interrogated, and two wanted criminals, three minors, and two missing have all been transferred for investigation according to the law. The police strictly enforce the law, exercise people’s power, and do not allow underworld and gang elements to cause trouble.
Police noted that the two arrested suspects are 23-year-old Li Nan, a wanted fraud suspect, and 24-year-old Zhu Nan, a wanted drug suspect. The Pingtung District Prosecutor’s Office attaches great importance to the safety of the farewell ceremony, assigning prosecutors to be present at the scene to give instructions, while the police contact family members and issue restrictions, and warn those who wish to participate in the farewell ceremony to comply with ‘no association, no collusion, and no participation in the name of a party’ etc.
In addition to the 200-meter-tall meter tower at the departure point, 51 supercars with a combined market value of more than NT$700 million also gathered on the field road.
