Frank⁢ Humbled to Build on Postecoglou’s Tottenham​ Foundation

new Tottenham head coach Thomas frank said he is “very humble” to inherit the​ foundation laid by his‌ predecessor, Ange Postecoglou. Postecoglou was sacked earlier this month after two seasons, despite leading Tottenham to Europa League qualification.

In his first interview, Frank acknowledged Postecoglou’s “special” achievements and said the Greek-Australian will “forever be a legend in Tottenham.” Frank ⁤aims to build ​on the existing foundation and bring more success to the North London⁣ club. He recognizes the challenge of winning over players who supported Postecoglou.

“It’s vital to understand⁢ we all stand on the shoulders of others,”⁢ Frank said. “I’m going in on the foundation Ange built, and his coaching staff,⁤ and I’m ‌very⁤ humble about that. I’ll do my very⁣ best to continue the great work he put in.”

Frank, who ‍moved to Tottenham from Brentford, described managing Spurs as an “extraordinary” feeling. He expressed satisfaction with the current squad and believes he can help them fulfill their potential. The 51-year-old also‌ highlighted the need for ‍a positive working environment.

“It’s an exciting, massive club with massive potential,” Frank said. “So, it’s just⁣ super, super exciting.”

Looking ‌ahead to ⁤the season, which begins with ‌the UEFA Super Cup against PSG on​ Aug. 13, Frank said ⁤he has discussed⁤ team and club development ​with chairman Daniel Levy, Vinai Venkatesham, and Johan Lange. He ‌urged fans to remain patient, anticipating a season with “ups and downs.”

“there’ll ⁣be ups and downs –​ right now, it’s a fairytale. Everyone’s happy, the sun is shining, it’s fantastic,” Frank said.
