Frankel-Kinsler Classic to ​Benefit‍ JGS ⁢lifecare’s Elder Care Programs

longmeadow,Mass. — JGS Lifecare will hold its 44th annual Frankel-Kinsler Classic Day of Tournaments on June 16 at Twin Hills Country⁣ Club.⁤ The event aims⁢ to raise funds for enhanced programming ‍and services for the⁢ organization’s elder care programs.

The classic features golf, pickleball, bridge, canasta, and mahjong tournaments. Last year’s ⁣event raised over $111,000 ‌thru ⁤sponsorships, ​donations, and player registrations.

The tournament is named in memory of michael ​Frankel, a former ‍JGS board ‌chairman, and in honor of the​ Raymond and Herman Kinsler families, who have long supported JGS Lifecare.

Susan Halpern, vice ​president of Development at ⁣JGS Lifecare, said the ⁤Frankel⁤ and Kinsler families ⁤have ‌provided unusual leadership. She added⁢ that⁣ the tournament pays tribute to them and helps continue their legacy of ⁣caring.

JGS Lifecare, like many elder‍ care organizations, faces⁢ financial⁢ challenges due to‍ insufficient government funding and rising costs. The Frankel-Kinsler Classic serves as a ⁢vital source ‌of community support to bridge this gap.

Golf registration begins at 11 a.m., with ⁤tee-off ​at noon. The $275 entry fee includes golf,lunch,dinner,and an ice cream sundae‍ bar. Golfers can participate in hole-in-one contests and a raffle. Charity ⁤Golf International offers a chance to win a $5,000 dream golf getaway.
