The Douglas County Solid Waste Department is scheduled to host a free household electronic e-cycling event in Roseburg on Saturday, July 18, 2026, according to regional reports. The collection runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Douglas County Roseburg Transfer Station, located at 165 West McLain Avenue. County officials are organizing the drop-off in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul of Lane County and Oregon E-Cycles. The service is open at no charge to all Douglas County residents and small businesses. Organizers have set a limit of seven electronic devices per person or small business for the collection day. Cable and satellite equipment, stereo and audio components, servers, switches, routers, hubs, modems, cell phones, cameras, photo equipment, audio-visual equipment, and video game systems are also welcome.

Additional acceptable materials consist of power tools, cords, chargers, loose and scrap wires, Christmas lights, hard drives, and miscellaneous computer parts.

Certain items are strictly prohibited from the site. Organizers ask the public to leave loose batteries, hazardous waste, vacuum cleaners, gas-powered tools, large kitchen appliances, glass-containing items such as microwaves, light bulbs, and lighting ballasts at home for proper disposal elsewhere.
