The stage is set for the 2025 French Open men’s singles semifinals. Jannik Sinner, the top seed, will face No.6 Novak Djokovic. On the other side of the bracket, No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz will battle No.8 Lorenzo Musetti.
sinner secured his spot by defeating alexander Bublik in straight sets, 6-1, 7-5, 6-0.sinner dominated with his serve, winning 78% of his first-serve points. Djokovic,after dropping the first set,rallied to defeat Alexander Zverev 4-6,6-3,6-2,6-4. The match featured a grueling 41-shot rally in the fifth set, ultimately won by Djokovic.
Alcaraz advanced after a decisive victory over Tommy Paul, winning 6-0, 6-1, 6-4. Musetti defeated frances Tiafoe in four sets, 6-2, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2. With these results, no American man remains in contention for the title. the last American man to win a Grand Slam title was Andy Roddick at the 2003 U.S. Open.
Djokovic celebrated his 100th career win at Roland Garros,joining Rafael Nadal as the only other player to reach that milestone. The 38-year-old Djokovic seeks his first grand Slam title since the 2023 U.S. Open. He has three french Open titles, along with 10 in Australia, seven at Wimbledon, and four at the U.S. Open.
Sinner and Djokovic have an even head-to-head record, splitting their eight matches.Djokovic won their only clay court encounter in 2021, but Sinner has won their last three meetings.
