French Open 2025: Alcaraz vs Musetti – Semifinal Results
Alcaraz Dominates Paul to Reach French Open Semifinals
Updated June 03, 2025
Carlos Alcaraz, the defending French Open champion, delivered a commanding performance to defeat Tommy Paul and advance to the semifinals at Roland Garros. The No.2 seed needed less than an hour to secure a two-set lead, conceding only a single game.
while Paul, the 12th seed, offered more resistance in the third set, Alcaraz, 22, broke serve to take a 5-4 lead before clinching the match with a 6-0, 6-1, 6-4 victory. Alcaraz’s French Open run continues as he seeks another title.
Alcaraz will now face Lorenzo Musetti, 23, for a place in the final. Musetti, the eighth seed from Italy, earlier defeated Frances Tiafoe in four sets, 6-2, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2. This marks Musetti’s second Grand Slam semifinal appearance, having reached the same stage at Wimbledon in 2024. The semifinals promise exciting matchups.
Tiafoe, the first American to reach the French Open quarter-finals in 22 years, fought back to win the second set after Musetti dominated the first. Though, the 15th seed struggled after losing a hard-fought third set and couldn’t match Musetti’s consistent play. The tennis championship is nearing its conclusion.
