French software company LumApps‍ and Swiss firm Beekeeper‌ are‌ merging in a deal that values the new‍ entity at more than $1 billion.‍ The combined company aims ⁤to create a extensive employee hub, integrating internal communications and workforce ⁤applications.

LumApps provides a platform designed to help ‍large companies manage internal communications and⁢ workforce apps. Beekeeper⁤ offers a mobile platform focused on connecting companies with frontline workers through messaging, shift scheduling, and workflow automation.

The merged company plans to serve over 7 million users and generate $150 million in recurring revenue, employing more than 600 people. This ⁤ software solution will cater‌ to a broad range of employees, from doctors and truck drivers to customer service agents.

Sébastien ⁢Ricard, CEO and co-founder of LumApps, emphasized the goal of supporting all employees in ⁣the evolving work environment.‍ “Together,⁢ LumApps and Beekeeper will support all employees, everywhere, in ‍this new age of work,” Ricard said.

The new company will ​be headquartered in Lyon, France, with Ricard leading the business. British ⁣private equity group Bridgepoint, the largest existing shareholder in LumApps, will retain majority ownership.
