From Bulk to Lean: Dave Bautista’s Shocking Weight Loss Transformation Revealed
Dave Bautista Opens Up About His Rigorous Workout and Diet Plan
Dave Bautista recently shared his experience with a rigorous workout and diet plan, which he follows to lose weight and maintain his new slim figure. The WWE veteran turned Hollywood actor appeared on Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast, where he discussed his weight loss journey.
Bautista revealed that he started losing weight for a specific reason, which was to avoid distractions in front of the cameras. He mentioned that his starring role in the 2023 thriller Knock at the Cabin made him uncomfortable with his weight. ”I started losing weight for a specific reason. Why? First, I just gained weight, so I started losing weight,” he said.
Despite his significant weight loss, Bautista joked that he still looks like a big guy, even at 6-foot-10 and 220 pounds. He mentioned that people often think he’s anorexic due to his weight loss, but he assured that he’s consuming enough calories. “I eat about 2,500 calories a day. It’s not a big deal because I don’t eat a lot. I fast, but I don’t starve or anything,” he added.
Bautista also discussed his workout routine, which involves intense exercise to lose weight. “I work out so hard to lose weight. I’m almost paralyzed. I work out a lot, but I also watch my calories,” he said. He also joked that he looks like a gorilla next to the other cast members, despite his weight loss.
Bautista has had a successful career in Hollywood, with roles in Guardians of the Galaxy, Spectre, Blade Runner 2049, My Spy, Army of the Dead, Dune, and The Glass Onion. He made his debut as Dax the Destroyer in Guardians of the Galaxy over a decade ago and has since become a household name.
As a former WWE star, Bautista has also made headlines for his wrestling career. He revealed that he would not be canceling his retirement match with friend and mentor Triple H at WrestleMania five years ago, despite no longer wrestling.
