Kim Woo-bin on His Role as a Martial Arts Instructor and His Journey to Recovery

Kim Woo-bin, a South Korean actor, has been making waves with his latest role as a martial arts instructor in the Netflix film “Infinite Challenge.” In a recent interview, he shared his experiences preparing for the role and his journey to recovery after being diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in 2017.

Kim Woo-bin’s character, Lee Jeong-do, is a 9th-degree black belt in Taekwondo, Kendo, and Judo. To prepare for the role, Kim Woo-bin underwent intense training, including learning three martial arts simultaneously. He also gained 8 kg and bleached his hair for the first time since his debut.

Kim Woo-bin’s hard work paid off, and he was able to portray a convincing martial arts expert on screen. He also expressed his gratitude to the martial arts team who helped him prepare for the role.

In addition to his role in “Infinite Challenge,” Kim Woo-bin has been working on various projects, including the drama “The Delivery Man” and the variety show “Kongkongpatpat.” He has also been open about his journey to recovery after being diagnosed with cancer.

Kim Woo-bin shared that he has been focusing on living in the present and appreciating the small things in life. He said, “I’m trying to live each day better now. One of the things I do is to look at the faces of the people I talk to often. There are times when I can’t even remember what they were wearing even though we were together for hours all day. When I focus solely on that person, I feel like I’m living that moment better and I’m happier.”
