During the show, Oh Sang-wook said, “I didn’t go in thinking about the gold medal, but I achieved the Grand Slam. I won gold medals at the World Championships, Asian Championships, Asian Games, and the Paris Olympics.”
MC Yoo Se-yoon asked Oh Sang-wook if he had seen the numerous memes created about him after each match. Oh Sang-wook replied, ”I’ve seen them.”
Oh Sang-wook also revealed that his fencing senior Kim Jung-hwan had previously talked about his circumcision surgery. Oh Sang-wook shared that Kim Jung-hwan had said, “When I saw your face, I thought of your circumcision surgery rather than the reaction that you were cool after winning the Olympic gold medal.”
Oh Sang-wook explained that the surgery was “semi-forced” and that Kim Jung-hwan had taken him to get the surgery, promising to buy him pork cutlet afterwards. This revelation caused laughter among the show’s guests.
MC Kim Gu-ra asked if circumcision was a tradition among the fencing team. Gu Bon-gil replied, “I thought I should go to the sauna and work on teamwork. I told him to ‘get circumcised’ because I thought everything should be done the same way.”
When asked if the circumcision had helped, Oh Sang-wook jokingly said, “I guess it helped a little.”
Oh Sang-wook’s appearance on ‘Radio Star’ showcased his lighthearted and humorous personality, entertaining the audience with his stories and anecdotes.
