Ahmed Azmi Receives Overwhelming Support from Artists and Public
Egyptian artist Ahmed Azmi has been flooded with messages of support from fellow artists and the public on social media, following his heartfelt plea to return to acting.
Messages of Support Pour In
Several artists, including Taha El-Desouki, Rabab Mumtaz, Ahmed Abdel Hamid, and Wala El-Sherif, have republished Azmi’s message on their social media pages. Mido Adel wrote: “Ahmed Azmi at a time like this. Great and different talent and original star when stardom was.” Heba Abdel-Ghani expressed her hope that Azmi would be given the opportunity to return to acting, while Mohammad Ali Rizq emphasized the importance of Azmi’s talent.
Director Ahmed Saeed praised Azmi as a “very talented actor,” and Noha Saleh offered her support, saying: “O Lord, may God honor you and give you success.” Ahmed Noor, another director, expressed his admiration for Azmi, stating: “Our whole voice is with you, I am honored to work together, you are a truly committed artist and I testify to God that you are an addition to any work.”
Ahmed Azmi’s Plea
Ahmad Azmi took to Facebook to share his story: “Good morning in the first days of a new year in my life, I pray to Almighty Allah to bless me and you with livelihood and work. I graduated from the acting department of the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in 2006 and participated in many works, winning awards such as Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Closed Doors (National Film Festival…Best Actor in a Supporting Role from The Group Series Media Festival…Alexandria Festival (Stolen Kisses) Best Actor.”
Azmi continued: “In the past three years, I have presented work in many Arab countries and with big stars… the play (King Lear) with star Yahya Al-Fakharani, which was shown at the Saudi Kingdom Entertainment Festival. Arab, and Professor Sadiq Al- Series (The Jabali War) with Sabah (Lebanon), I presented the Arab Radio and Television Network with the Khaleda Works program and film (Al-Minbar) in the UAE. However, I was not offered any work by the United Company, I hope That my friends and colleagues will help me to join the United Company and join our beloved Egyptian band. Life has no taste without work, my son is growing up in front of me, and I don’t know how I will help him face the difficulties of life, and I Deprived of complacency in my country, and I do not. There is another profession, and I fear death from grief and sorrow.”
