It is known that Hisham Selim was the first candidate for the role of Rifaat al-Sukari in the film ”Tito”. However, a disagreement arose between him and the creators of the work, which he revealed in a televised statement before his death.
Khaled Saleh’s Nomination for the Role
In an interview with artist Sherif Munir on the Happy Chance program, Khaled Saleh revealed the scenes of his nomination for the work. He stated that Ahmed Samir, the assistant of Tariq Al-Erian, called him to offer the role.
Khaled Saleh explained that Tariq Al-Erian told him he would be playing the role of Rifaat Al-Sukari. He was initially afraid of the role due to its sweetness and traditional nature but wanted to explore a new role with the help of Tariq Al-Erian.
The Casting Decision
Sherif Munir recalled the nomination scene, stating that Ahmed al-Sakka was enthusiastic about Khaled Saleh’s potential in the role. Tariq al-Erian also agreed, and they began imagining scenes with Khaled Saleh.
Khaled Saleh initially thought the role was small but soon realized that the creators had a deeper need for him in the film. He was initially upset but eventually approached the matter in a more pleasant way.
