From Runaway Bride to Rising Star: The Unlikely Journey of a Vietnamese Wife Turned Karaoke Sensation
Vietnamese Bride Caught Working at Karaoke Bar After Running Away from Korean Husband
A shocking story has emerged of a Vietnamese woman who ran away from her Korean husband just two weeks after their wedding and was caught working as a helper at a karaoke bar.
The story began when a Korean man, referred to as Mr. A, met a Vietnamese woman, referred to as Ms. B, through an acquaintance. After a two-year long-distance relationship, the couple tied the knot on May 24.
However, just two weeks after their wedding, on June 3, Ms. B ran away, leaving behind only a letter. The apartment CCTV footage showed her leaving the house with a carrier. In the letter, she explained that she felt stressed staying at home and doing nothing, and wanted to take a two-week break. She reassured her husband that she would contact him and return home.
But Ms. B did not return home, and her visa expired in the middle of last month, making her an illegal resident. Mr. A was left confused and concerned about his wife’s disappearance.
At the end of last month, an eyewitness came forward claiming that Ms. B was working as an assistant at a karaoke bar in Ulsan. After verifying the information, Mr. A decided to take action. He called the police and raided the room where Ms. B was working, leading to her arrest.
When questioned by her husband about her reasons for running away, Ms. B revealed that she had a debt to pay back in Vietnam and couldn’t return home. Her attempt to avoid the police by claiming her ID card was in another room was unsuccessful, and she was taken away.
This shocking turn of events has raised questions about the challenges faced by international couples and the importance of open communication in relationships.
