Young Girl Overcomes Scoliosis Without Surgery
Meet Melis Ada Baş, a 10-year-old girl from Antalya who was diagnosed with Scoliosis, also known as Curvature of the Spine. Despite the challenges that come with this condition, Melis was able to regain her health without undergoing surgical treatment.
At the hospital she attended, doctors discovered that by placing a 1.5 cm high book under her left foot, Melis’s scoliosis could be corrected. This simple yet effective solution was later replaced with 1.5 cm high insoles that she wore in her slippers or shoes.
Melis was overjoyed with the results and expressed her gratitude for the treatment. She shared her experience, saying, “My parents always reminded me to stand up straight, but when my teacher started telling me the same thing, I knew I had to do something. I told my parents, and we went to see the doctor. I was really struggling, but now I’m used to wearing the insoles, and I feel great.”
