Vietnamese rapper HIEUTHUHAI has announced his first solo concert in the United States, scheduling a performance at PH Live at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas for Nov. 29. Six years after his debut at the casting call for the game show King of Rap, where he performed the song "Cua" (Granchio), the artist has risen to become the Vietnamese artist with the highest number of streams on Spotify over the past two years.
From Domestic Milestones to Las Vegas
The scale of HIEUTHUHAI’s domestic success precedes his international move. On August 1 and 2, the rapper held his "Eyes Closed, Eyes Open" concert at the Phu Tho stadium in Ho Chi Minh City. Ticketbox data recorded over 165,000 visits and more than 47,000 accounts in the waiting room when tickets went on sale, marking the highest figure ever recorded by the platform for a solo concert by a Vietnamese artist. Both nights of the concert sold out, drawing over 16,000 spectators across venues with a capacity of about 8,000 people per night. A third show was later held on November 1 at the North Court of the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) in Hanoi.
HIEUTHUHAI Traces His Musical Path with GERDNANG Team
The domestic concert series featured over 30 tracks across roughly three hours, tracing HIEUTHUHAI’s path from an underground phenomenon to a leading star in the Vietnamese music scene. Joined by close friends from the GERDNANG team—Negav, HURRYKNG, MANBO, and producer Kewtiie—the artist prioritized original music and emotional connection over dazzling stage effects. Alongside these performances, the rapper has released two albums and accumulated numerous hits with hundreds of millions of views across YouTube and digital music platforms.
