Fast Track Immigration Program Expands Nationwide
The Fast Track Immigration Trusted Traveller Program (FTI-TTP) is now available at more airports,offering Indian passport holders and Overseas citizen of India (OCI) cardholders a streamlined immigration process. The goal of the program is faster immigration.
Using automated e-gates, registered travelers can bypass long lines and complete immigration in approximately 30 seconds. Enrollment in the fast track immigration program is valid for five years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the program at seven additional airports Jan. 16, expanding it from Ahmedabad. The expansion aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’ vision to improve immigration services.
The program initially launched June 22, 2024, at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in New Delhi. It is being rolled out to 21 major airports across India. Besides Delhi, the service is active in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Ahmedabad.
