Fujifilm Enhances Middle East Presence with Dubai Tech Hub

Fujifilm Middle East and Africa inaugurated its new offices and a Technology Center at Expo City Dubai on June 11, 2025. The Fujifilm Technology Center (FTC) will provide training and showcase the company’s healthcare, imaging and printing technology solutions to employees, business partners, and end-users from the Middle east, Africa, Europe, and Asia.
Ken Okaniwa, Japan’s ambassador to the united Arab Emirates, highlighted the investment as a reflection of strong relations between Japan and the UAE. He anticipates Fujifilm’s technologies will contribute to improved healthcare and industrial development.
Fujifilm supplies diagnostic imaging systems to the UAE and plans to introduce AI-driven screening centers, known as NURA, to the region.The company has doubled its staff across offices in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Morocco, and South Africa over the past five years. Following performance gains in 2024, Fujifilm projects double-digit growth this year.
The Technology Center will feature live demonstrations of Fujifilm solutions, allowing visitors to test products and services. Hands-on training and lectures will be delivered by professionals from the UAE,Egypt,and Morocco.
Manal AlBayat,Chief Engagement Officer at Expo City Dubai,said Fujifilm’s presence reinforces the city’s position as a hub for global businesses driving innovative solutions.
Fujifilm signed six Memorandums of Understanding with healthcare institutions in Saudi Arabia in late 2024, aiming to enhance healthcare solutions through digitalization and efficiency improvements.
“Our investment in the new offices and FUJIFILM Technology Center is a powerful enabler for product showcases, including a full-fledged center with hands-on training and lectures delivered by professionals in the UAE, Egypt, and Morocco,” said Masataka Akiyama, President and CEO of FUJIFILM Europe.
Akiyama added that the center will facilitate the exchange of ideas and support the delivery of solutions to customers. Fujifilm plans to hire additional staff to support FTC operations and expand its knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Michio Kondo, Managing Director of FUJIFILM Middle East and Africa, said the new offices mark an exciting chapter for Fujifilm in the Middle East, focusing on co-creation, training, partnerships, and the development of high-tech solutions.
