Fuka Koshiba’s Heart-Wrenching Plea: ‘GO HOME’ Steals Hearts with Nana the Celebrity Dog’s Scene-Stealing Performance
Meet Makoto, the Shiba Inu Stealing Hearts in “GO HOME ~ Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department Unidentified Persons Consultation Room ~”
The seventh episode of the drama “GO HOME ~ Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department Unidentified Persons Consultation Room ~” (Nippon TV) introduces a new buddy to the story, following the previous episode’s developments. Originally, the buddy story revolved around Sakura (Fuka Koshiba) and Makoto (Yuko Oshima), but this time, a Shiba Inu, a “lost dog,” takes center stage as Sakura’s new partner.
Witnessing the acting of dog actors on location in a drama is a remarkable experience. Their ability to wait quietly on standby and then seamlessly transition into action is a testament to their discipline and training. Makoto, the Shiba Inu, is not only adorable but also showcases impressive acting skills, even evoking “pet sadness” in Tonegawa (Kotaro Yoshida).

Notably, Makoto forms a strong bond with Hamano Mayumi (Miyamoto Mayu), the owner of the grooming salon. This attachment becomes a crucial clue that leads Sakura to uncover the relationship between the late Chiaki (Ohgo Suzuka) and Mayumi.

As the story unfolds, it is revealed that Chiaki was homosexual and Mayumi was his lover. The two lived together, and Makoto was familiar with Mayumi. When Makoto leaves the grooming salon with Sakura, his reluctance to look at Mayumi sparks curiosity about the training process behind his actions.

Chiaki’s family runs an inn in Hakone, and as heirs, Chiaki’s parents struggle to accept his homosexuality. After the couple decides to part ways, Mayumi sees Chiaki with a man named Miyamoto Keisuke (Irie Jinji) and assumes this is the right path. However, it is later revealed that Chiaki had been exploring artificial insemination with Keisuke to have a child. Chiaki envisioned a future where he, Mayumi, and their child would take over the inn and live together.
