In order to effectively prevent and control the occurrence of zoonotic infectious diseases and promote the healthy development of the animal diagnosis and treatment industry, the Fuling District Agricultural Law Enforcement Detachment took the initiative to regulate the order of pet diagnosis and treatment throughout the chain, with obvious results.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs’ “Animal Diagnosis and Treatment Medical Record Management Specifications” and the newly revised “Veterinary Prescription Format and Application Specifications” (hereinafter referred to as the “Specifications”) will be implemented from May 1, 2024. The district agricultural law enforcement detachment strictly follows the “Measures for the Management of Animal Diagnosis and Treatment Institutions”, “Measures for the Management of Practicing Veterinarians and Rural Veterinarians” and “Standards” to carry out regular and irregular law enforcement inspections, actively accept various complaints and reports, and promptly rectify the animal diagnosis and treatment market. Check whether the animal diagnosis and treatment institution operates outside the scope; whether it uses veterinary drugs in accordance with the relevant national regulations on the safe use of veterinary drugs; whether it uses fake and inferior veterinary drugs and fake and inferior pet feed; whether it is registered by a licensed veterinarian to engage in commercial animal diagnosis and treatment activities; check the management, use, and use of medical records and prescriptions; Whether issuance is standardized and other behaviors.
Since the beginning of this year, the district has dispatched a total of 70 law enforcement officers, carried out 18 law enforcement inspections, and inspected animal diagnosis and treatment institutions 30 times. It was found that 15 problems existed in 7 animal diagnosis and treatment institutions, and illegal diagnosis and treatment behaviors were investigated and dealt with.
