Full Court Appreciation: Lawmaker Yang Sook-hee Honored by Provincial Disabled Basketball Team

Provincial lawmaker Yang Sook-hee (People Power Party, Chuncheon) received a medal of appreciation from the Gangwon Self-Governing Province disabled basketball delegation.

On the 31st, 15 members of the Gangwon Self-Governing Province intellectual basketball team at the National Sports Festival for the Disabled visited Representative Yang Sook-hee’s solo exhibition at KBS Chuncheon and presented a medal of appreciation to Representative Yang. This is an expression of gratitude for the continued interest in supporting basketball for the intellectually disabled. Rep. Yang Sook-hee has been promoting projects to match basketball project costs for intellectually disabled people and support electric wheelchairs for two years since she was elected to the provincial council in 2022.

Provincial Assembly member Yang Sook-hee said, “I want to play an important role in helping people with disabilities realize their potential in various fields of society,” and added, “We will continue to work hard to provide more effective support and services that people with disabilities need.” said.

Meanwhile, at the 44th National Sports Competition for the Disabled, the provincial disabled basketball team won a silver medal in intellectual basketball and a bronze medal in wheelchair basketball, ranking third in the national overall ranking.
