Passion on the Court Ignites the Golden Autumn: 2024 Shushan District’s First Employee Basketball Game Opens
On the morning of September 22, the 2024 Shushan District’s first employee basketball game officially opened, hosted by the Shushan District Federation of Trade Unions and the Shushan District Education and Sports Bureau, and organized by the Shushan District Basketball Association.
A total of 47 teams from Shushan District government agencies, enterprises, and institutions participated, with over 630 coaches and athletes competing in the event. The competition will last until October 19 and is divided into two groups: government agencies and enterprises.
The top eight teams in each group will be selected, with the top three teams receiving trophies and medals. The competition kicked off with the majestic national anthem, followed by the corporate group competition, where players showcased their skills and teamwork.
The players’ agility and vigor were on full display as they employed various tactics, including dribbling, passing, and shooting. The audience was thrilled, cheering and applauding throughout the game.
Jiang Yu, a member of the Anhui Water Conservancy Development Co., Ltd. team, expressed his enthusiasm for the competition, stating, “The competition enriches our spare time, strengthens our physical exercise, and provides an opportunity to learn from other outstanding enterprises in the region and enhance friendship.”


A representative from the District Federation of Trade Unions emphasized the significance of the competition, stating, “This competition is open to employees of enterprises and institutions across the district, enriching the cultural and sports life of the majority of employees and enhancing the cohesion and centripetal force among enterprises and institutions.”


The competition is part of Shushan District’s efforts to promote employee participation in cultural and sports activities, providing a platform for employees to showcase their skills and challenge themselves.
