2024 Hemei Rural Basketball Competition Prep Underway

The Provincial Sports Bureau recently held a preparatory meeting for the 2024 Hemei Rural Basketball Competition (Village BA). The meeting saw the Putian Sports Bureau and Xiuyu District Government, the event’s host, report on preparations, while the Provincial Radio and Television Group Broadcasting Omnimedia Center shared the preliminary publicity plan. Dong Jinsong, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and deputy director of the Provincial Sports Bureau, outlined specific arrangements for the opening ceremony, competition organization, publicity, and promotion.

Dong Jinsong Emphasizes the Importance of the Event

The 2023 Fujian “Village BA” has made a significant impact and generated revenue, demonstrating the benefits of sports in supporting rural revitalization. The event has received full affirmation from the leaders of the General Administration and the provincial party committee and government. The 2024 Fujian “Village BA” will take place in Xiuyu, Putian, from September 23 to 30, and is expected to be both distinctive and influential, becoming a brand event for sports to help rural revitalization.

With all preparations for the event now underway, all units must work together, refine task decomposition and staffing, and go all out to prepare for the event.

Key Objectives for the Event

Firstly, we will further improve the various procedures of the event and strive for excellence. As the main body of “Village BA” is farmers, we must fully rely on the masses, unite “one heart”, root Fujian Village BA in the countryside, and highlight the rural landscape of the new era.

Secondly, we will fully reflect the integrated development of sports with agriculture, rural areas, culture, tourism, commerce, and trade, expand “sports +”, and highlight the positive role of sports in helping rural revitalization.

We will cooperate with various nodes of the event to strengthen publicity and expand the influence of the event. Publicity is the “finishing touch” and is particularly important. The Provincial Radio and Television Group Omnimedia Center will work closely with Xiuyu District to ensure that the event publicity is outstanding and creates new influence.

We will do a good job in event security prevention, fire protection, electricity, emergency support, medical care, and transportation support to ensure the event is safe, exciting, and successful.
