Stories of Inspiration
Master Lu from Dalian is a Didi Express driver and also a member of the rescue team. He never refuses orders to catch flights in the early morning on snowy days, and will also take the initiative to help passengers carry their seriously ill fathers to the emergency room of the hospital.
Under the influence of Master Lu, his daughter also did rescue training with him and participated in volunteer emergency rescue services.
Master Zhang, a Beijing luxury car steward, has a unique skill – dancing with flags. This folk art requires skills and physical strength, but Master Zhang has been practicing it for more than ten years.
This energy has also subtly influenced his daughter. This year, she was admitted to Minzu University of China and will explore her skills in a wider world.
For the first time in his life, the designated driver, Master Hou, rode all the way from Chengdu to his hometown in Jianyang, a hundred kilometers away, and personally delivered a newly bought mountain bike to his son.
This clumsy method touched his son’s heart and gradually turned his interest from online games to outdoor sports.
A Wide Reach
This year, a total of 31 online car-hailing industry families in provinces, cities and autonomous regions have participated in Didi’s “Orange Fruit Plan”, covering a variety of service types, including:
- Express
- Private cars
- Luxury cars
- Taxis
- Chauffeurs
- Two-wheelers
- Delivery
- Hua Xiaozhu
A Long-Term Commitment
For seven years, Didi’s “Orange Fruit Plan” has continued to serve the families of practitioners in the online car-hailing industry, helping their children’s educational development.
Through the implementation of public welfare projects such as “College Entrance Examination Scholarships”, “Motivational Classes”, and “Universal Gifts”, it has benefited nearly 50,000 families, and a total of nearly 1,400 drivers’ children have been awarded Didi’s “Orange Fruit College Entrance Examination Scholarship”.
