British newspaper The Sun reported on the 6th that Manchester United‘s England defender Harry Maguire was likely to be fined a hefty sum for speeding twice in three days.
According to the newspaper, Maguire was caught driving a Range Rover SV from British luxury car manufacturer Land Rover in March this year after driving over the speed limit in Manchester. Two days later, he was again caught driving at around 5km/h on a road in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
The deliberations regarding the first speeding violation have already been completed and a fine of approximately 190,000 yen has been imposed, but the punishment for the second violation has not yet been finalized. The verdict is scheduled to be handed down in January, but given the repeated violations, the punishment is expected to be extremely severe.
United’s England striker Marcus Rashford was banned from driving in September for speeding.
Will players who can’t even follow traffic rules be able to follow the complex rules on the pitch? The lack of sense of discipline among these players may be having a negative impact on the team, which is currently in 13th place.
