Dopo l’ultimo saluto, la salma di Baudo sarà trasferita nel cimitero di Militello dove verrà tumulata nella cappella di famiglia, dove riposano il padre e la madre.

Nella chiesa potranno entrare circa trecento persone: i familiari di Baudo, gli amici più stretti, rappresentanti istituzionali. Le migliaia di persone attese potranno seguire i funerali dal maxischermo montato in piazza Santa Maria della Stella. Nella zona della chiesa ci saranno postazioni della protezione civile (volontari arriveranno da varie province), che forniranno bottigliette d’acqua minerale ed è stato potenziato il servizio di 118 mentre i tre primari di Chirurgia, Pronto soccorso e Rianimazione dell’ospedale faranno la spola tra la piazza e la chiesa.

Intorno a mezzanotte il carro funebre con il feretro di Pippo Baudo è arrivato a Militello in Val di Catania accolto da centinaia di persone assiepate dietro le transenne. Il mezzo si è fermato davanti la chiesa di Santa Maria della Stella dove la salma è stata sistemata per l’apertura della camera ardente e poi dei funerali.

Ieri intorno alle 13 il feretro di Baudo ha lasciato il Teatro delle Vittorie di Roma, dove per due giorni era stata allestita la camera ardente. Il carro è partito insieme ad altre due auto – una con la collaboratrice Dina e l’altra con i familiari. Prima di andare in Sicilia il veicolo è passato davanti all’ufficio di Baudo di via della Giuliana. L’organizzazione del viaggio è stata curata in collaborazione con il Viminale per ragioni di ordine pubblico e sicurezza. Verso mezzanotte il carro funebre è arrivato a Militello in Val di Catania accolto da centinaia di persone assiepate dietro le transenne. The last trip of Pippo Baudo, from Rome to his Sicily
Baudo’s coffin started yesterday for the last trip from the Teatro delle Vittorie in Rome to his Sicily. In the car, together with the coffin, three red roses cushions (and only one of blue color) sent by their sons and grandchildren. The funeral will take place today at 4 pm in Militello in Val di Catania. All the details.

The burial
After the last farewell, Baudo’s body will be transferred to the Militello cemetery where he will be buried in the family chapel, where his father and mother rest.
The Maxiskem
About three hundred people will be able to enter the church: Baudo’s family members, closest friends, institutional representatives. The thousands of expected people will be able to follow the funerals from the Maxiskermer that mounted in Piazza Santa Maria della Stella. In the church area there will be civil protection stations (volunteers will come from various provinces), who will provide bottles of mineral water and the service of 118 has been enhanced while the three primary surgery, emergency room and resuscitation of the hospital will make the dirt between the square and the church.
Mass
The coffin was placed in the church and this morning the burning chamber will be open where a flow of thousands of people are expected. The funeral will begin at 4 pm and will be chaired by the bishop of the diocese of Caltagirone, Monsignor Calogero Peri together with the parish priest Giuseppe Luparello while the spiritual father of Pippo Baudo, Don Giuseppe Albanese, will pronounce the homily.

Among others, the President of the Senate Ignazio La Russa, the Minister of Made in Italy Adolfo Urso, the Undersecretary for Culture Gianmarco Mazzi, representing the Government, and the Governor Renato Schifani will participate in the funeral of the television author. The last trip
Yesterday around 1pm the coffin of Baudo left the theater of the victories of Rome, where the burning chamber had been set up for two days. The cart left together with two other cars – one with the collaborator Dina and the other with family members. Before going to Sicily, the vehicle passed in front of the Baudo office in via della Giuliana. The organization of the trip was treated in collaboration with the Interior Ministry for reasons of public order and safety. Around midnight the hearse funeral arrived in Militello in Val di Catania welcomed by hundreds of people who were assigned behind the barriers. The vehicle stopped in front of the church of Santa Maria della Stella.
Today the farewell to Pippo Baudo
The funeral of Pippo Baudo take place today in Militello in Val di Catania. Yesterday the coffin left the theater of the victories in Rome among the applause and left for Sicily. At the Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Stella the burning chamber is opened from 9 to 13. Then in the afternoon, at 4 pm, the funeral begin.
