New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Gabe Kidd, who has been making appearances on AEW television alongside Jon Moxley and the Death Riders, has called out Kevin Knight, a newer addition to AEW. Kidd expressed a strong desire to face Knight in the ring, citing their shared history.
Speaking to Fightful’s Sean Ross sapp, Kidd stated his intentions plainly. “That is someone that I would love to beat the s out of. I would love to beat the f*** out of Kevin Knight,” Kidd said. He added that a match would serve as “a good lesson” for Knight, taking him “back to the dojo in the name of violence.”
Kidd revealed that he and Knight were once roommates. He also criticized Knight for expressing his desire to participate in the G1 Climax tournament before, in Kidd’s view, earning the possibility.
“You’re saying all this about [how] you want to go to the G1,you say you want to step up to heavyweight while you’re there doing a junior tournament,” Kidd said. ”Try to win that first, mate.”
Kidd’s aggressive stance suggests he would be willing to face any AEW wrestler. He recently assisted the Death Riders at AEW double or Nothing, though he did not compete in the Anarchy in the Arena match. Knight is currently involved in NJPW’s Best of the super Juniors tournament.
What’s next
