The Gabonese National Scholarships Agency (ANBG) has opened applications for Brazilian government-funded scholarships targeting Gabonese students in their final year of secondary education for the 2026-2027 academic year.

The announcement was made on April 22, 2026, by the General Directorate of ANBG, confirming the availability of study opportunities in Brazil under the “Convênio” PEC-G program, which facilitates international student enrollment in Brazilian public universities.

Eligible applicants must be Gabonese nationals residing in Gabon at the time of application, currently enrolled in terminale (final year of high school), and meet age requirements: between 18 and 22 years old for literary, scientific, and technical streams, or up to 24 years old for professional streams.

Completed physical application dossiers must be submitted to ANBG no later than May 9, 2026, as specified in the official call for applications.

The scholarships are part of an ongoing educational cooperation between Gabon and Brazil, aiming to provide Gabonese students access to quality international higher education fully funded by the Brazilian government.

This initiative reflects broader efforts to strengthen human development and academic partnerships between the two nations, offering rare opportunities for Gabonese youth to pursue university studies abroad at no cost.
