Reports suggest that Barcelona are targeting Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas to replace Barcelona’s injured German goalkeeper Ter Stegen. According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, the Catalans want Navas to join the team.

Navas is currently not playing for any club after leaving French giants Paris Saint-Germain. So, Barça can bring a Costa Rican goalkeeper to the team. Navas played for Spanish giants Real Madrid between 2014 and 2019. Navas has played 164 games for Los Blancos and has 52 clean sheets.

Ter Stegen was injured in the match against Villarreal in La Liga. Ter Stegen suffered the injury in the final seconds of the first half of the game. The German player jumped high to catch the ball from the corner and fell on the pitch.

After this, the actor’s right knee was injured. Ter Stegen was then taken out of the structure. According to reports, Stegen will be out for the next eight months following the injury.

Meanwhile, Villarreal were defeated by Barcelona by five goals to one in the match. In the game, Polish star Robert Lewandowski and Brazilian star Rafinha scored a double goal for Barcelona and performed brilliantly. Lewandowski’s goals were scored in the 20th and 35th minutes.
