Galaxie 500 to Release Live CBGB Album, ’CBGB 12.13.88′

Galaxie 500 will release a live album, “CBGB 12.13.88,” on August 8 via Silver current Records. The album immortalizes the band’s performance at the iconic New York City venue.
Listeners can now preview the album with the tracks “Tugboat” and “parking Lot.” The performance at CBGB capped a year that saw the release of their debut album, “Today,” in February. The show, which also featured Sonic Youth, B.A.L.L., and Unsane, benefited the East Village zine shop, See Hear.
Producer Kramer originally recorded the performance, which Alan Douches at west West Side Music has as restored from the analog source. This marks the first official release of the recording on LP, CD, cassette, and digital formats.
Galaxie 500 previously released “Uncollected Noise New York ’88-’90” on Silver Current last year.
