Samsung Galaxy A56 Specifications Revealed: A Notable Upgrade from Galaxy A55
Samsung launched the Galaxy A55 last March, a popular mid-range smartphone. However, with the passage of time, information about a new model, the Galaxy A56, has started to surface.
The Samsung Galaxy A56 5G smartphone, with model number SM-A566B/DS, has been discovered in the IMEI database. The device is expected to be powered by the Exynos 1580 chip, featuring Cortex-A720 and Cortex-A520 graphics, along with the Xclipse 540 GPU. Additionally, it includes an NPU upgrade for enhanced Galaxy AI processing.
The Exynos 1580 chip has already undergone testing by Geekbench, achieving a single-core score of 1,046 and a multi-core score of 3,578. Furthermore, the device is expected to run on Android 15, covered by OneUI 7.
In comparison to the Exynos 1380 chip used in the Galaxy A55, the Exynos 1580 is considered a notable upgrade. The Exynos 1380 scored a single-core score of 1,127 points and a multi-core score of 3,090 points. This upgrade is expected to provide smoother performance, especially in heavy usage.
