Paul Gallagher, brother of Oasis legends Liam and Noel Gallagher, has cancelled a planned DJ set in Dublin ahead of his upcoming court appearance. The set, scheduled at The Grand Social to coincide with the band’s reunion tour performances, has been removed from the venue’s schedule.
Allegations and Court Date
the cancellation follows serious allegations made against Gallagher, 59, by London‘s Metropolitan Police in July. He has been charged with rape, coercive and controlling behavior, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The alleged offences reportedly took place between 2022 and 2024.
Gallagher is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 27th.
Venue Confirms Change in DJ Lineup
A spokesperson for The Grand Social confirmed the change, stating that Paul Gallagher ”will no longer be DJing at our Oasis after-party.” The venue has swiftly moved to secure replacement DJs, announcing that Mani from The Stone Roses will perform on Saturday night, and Creation Records founder Alan McGee will take to the decks on Sunday.
Up Close and Personal Promotions, the event promoters, have been contacted for further comment.
Oasis Reunion Tour Continues
The news comes as Liam and Noel Gallagher continue their highly anticipated Oasis Live ’25 tour, marking their first performances together as the band’s acrimonious split in 2009. The tour kicked off in July at Cardiff‘s Principality Stadium, followed by dates in Manchester, London, and Edinburgh.
the band recently completed two sold-out performances at Dublin’s Croke Park on August 16th and 17th, drawing massive crowds and reigniting the fervor surrounding the iconic britpop group. Despite the ongoing legal issues surrounding Paul Gallagher, the tour continues to be a major success, offering fans a rare prospect to witness the Gallagher brothers share the stage once more.
