Al-Shabaab Sports Club Announces New Appointments

Al-Shabaab Sports Club’s board of directors has approved the formation of the club’s group and individual sports directors, marking a significant step towards enhancing the club’s administrative and technical capabilities.

New Appointments

• Muhammad Abbas has been appointed as the Director of Football.
• Jassem Khamis will serve as the Director of Handball.
• Yasser Al-Subai has been appointed as the Director of Volleyball.
• Adel Marhoun will lead the Athletics department as its Director.

The Secretary General of Al-Shabaab Club, Sadiq Al-Aswad, emphasized the club’s commitment to diligent development work, aiming to elevate the administrative and technical levels of the club, gaming teams, and their results.

Role of the Game Directors

According to Al-Aswad, the management of the club has decided to introduce the concept of game directors, replacing the traditional head of equipment position. This change aims to attract sports experts and improve administrative and technical working arrangements for all sports teams.

Each game director will be responsible for managing their respective sport, providing a clear vision for all teams, and serving as a liaison between the governing body and field teams.

The club’s management seeks to hire specialized managers with experience and knowledge in the technical aspects of the game, as well as the ability to drive the game forward.
